Choose your gauge face design, tachometer branding, LED backlight color, and whether you want us to modify your original cluster, virginize a customer-supplied donor cluster, or source and prepare a complete used cluster for you.

Build Your Cluster
1. Cluster Option
Modify My Original Cluster — +$0
Send us the original cluster currently installed in your vehicle. Because the cluster is already matched to your car, virginization is not required.
I Will Supply a Used Donor Cluster — +$180
Purchase a compatible used cluster and either send it to us yourself or have the seller ship it directly to us.
The $180 service includes virginization of the donor cluster so it can be properly matched to another vehicle.
BavAuto Supplies a Used Cluster — +$239
We source a compatible used OEM BMW cluster, virginize it, perform your selected modifications, and ship the finished cluster to you.
This is the easiest option if you want to keep your original cluster untouched.
2. Gauge Faces
Stock Gauge Faces — +$0
Keep the original gauge faces.
Custom Gauge Faces — +$100
Upgrade to a high-quality custom gauge face set.
Custom face builds can include your choice of available face colors/designs and tachometer branding.
Tachometer Branding
When selecting custom gauge faces, choose:
- Vehicle Model — such as 128i, 328i, 330i, 335i, etc.
- ///M
- Other custom requests may be available
There is no additional charge for choosing vehicle-model or ///M tachometer branding.

3. LED Backlight Color
Keep the factory lighting or completely change the appearance of the cluster with an LED conversion.

How It Works
Sending Your Original Cluster
Place your order and select Modify My Original Cluster.
After checkout, ship your cluster to us using the provided instructions. We perform your selected modifications and ship your completed cluster back to you.
Your original cluster does not need to be virginized when it is being reinstalled in the same vehicle.
Supplying Your Own Donor Cluster
Select I Will Supply a Used Donor Cluster.
You can ship the cluster yourself or arrange for the seller to send it directly to us.
We will virginize the used cluster, perform your selected modifications, and return the completed unit to you.
Having Us Supply the Cluster
Select BavAuto Supplies a Used Cluster.
We handle the sourcing process for you, including:
- Finding an appropriate used OEM cluster
- Virginizing the cluster
- Installing your selected customizations
- Testing the completed unit
- Shipping it to you

Important Information About Used Clusters
BMW instrument clusters contain vehicle-specific information. A used donor cluster generally cannot simply be installed into another vehicle without proper preparation.
Our $180 donor-cluster service includes virginization of a customer-supplied used cluster.
If you select the $239 supplied-cluster option, cluster sourcing and virginization are both included.
Final vehicle coding/programming requirements can vary depending on the vehicle and cluster.
Vehicle identification and mileage information must always correspond with the actual vehicle. We do not offer mileage rollback, odometer falsification, or other services intended to misrepresent a vehicle's true mileage.
Used Cluster Condition
Clusters supplied by us are used OEM BMW parts unless specifically stated otherwise.
Because they are used components, minor cosmetic wear may be present. The cluster will be selected for suitability and function before customization.
Turnaround Time
All custom clusters are built to order.
Turnaround begins once we have received everything required for your build, including your cluster if you're supplying one.
More complex custom requests or special-order gauge faces may require additional time.
If you cannot have your cluster out for a few weeks, select one of the used cluster options.
